Daniel “Dan” Rich

Daniel “Dan” Rich passed away January 9, 2019. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy, and view Dan’s life tribute at www.memorialdesigners.net.

Dan was born on November 12, 1950 to Robert and Irene (Roe) Rich in Mathis, Tex. He attended Frenship ISD starting in first grade and graduated in 1969. He served in the Texas National Guard for four years and attended South Plains College and received an associate’s degree in Electronics. He married Barbara Burks from Ropesville on September 26, 1969. He had two daughters, Shelley and Wendy, and resided in Wolfforth, Tex., until 2014. He supported his family as an electronic technician for 41 years. He and his wife, Barbara, retired and have resided at their home at White River Lake since 2014. He enjoyed multiple hobbies such as arrow head hunting and crafting, historical artifacts, fishing, leather crafting, metal detecting, and outdoor cooking. His entire life was devoted to providing for and loving his family.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rich of White River Lake; two daughters, Shelley (Tim) Cooper of Melissa, and Wendy (Bradley) Blasingame of Rowlett, brother, David (Geraldine) Rich of Wolfforth; and grandchildren, Brock Cooper, Layton Kerr, Ashton Cooper, Landon Kerr, Timmy Cooper, Toby Cooper, Brayden Blasingame, and Garrett Blasingame.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Jim Rich and Charles Rich.
