Dyess AFB visits Jayton to discuss expanding B-1B Lancer flight training, leasing land for exercises

Members of Dyess Air Force Base and representatives of the Snyder Electronic Scoring Site (ESS) came to Jayton on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, as part of a public outreach tour to each city in the B-1B Lancer Military Operating Area (MOA), which includes Lamesa, Gail, Snyder, Roby, Jayton, Aspermont, Tahoka and Post.

Senior Airman Shannon Hall with the Dyess AFB Public Affairs Office and Major Bob “Shotgun” Stinson of the 7th Bomb Wing, an electronic warfare officer, bombardier navigator and ranger operations officer, thanked Kent County for their support of the armed forces, presented a slide show to educate residents on the history of the Lancer MOA, discussed future training plans and answered questions.
