Haynes School celebrates 34th Reunion July 21

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD The 34th Annual Haynes School Reunion was held at the Spur Senior Citizens’ Center Saturday, July 21, 2018.

Haynes Reunion will always be something to rejoice about. This year was the 34th Haynes Reunion.

Some came from Houston, Witchta Falls,, Mesquite, Lubbock, Killeen, Sweetwater, Lorenzo, Abilene, Plainview as well the great town of Spur.

Before the banquet Eula Bender and Venessa Carter blessed the crowd with a solo during the memorial in memory of the ones past.

A special mention honored the late Mrs. Minnie Bethany for being the last of the original organizers of the Haynes Reunion. The banquet dinner was catered by J & D Barbecue.

The banquet speaker was Mayor Louise Jones as she spoke on the theme, “Together We Stand, Divided We Fall.”

Dorothy Scarlett Sapp and Cal Walker both recited poems. All enjoyed games, and fellowship afterwards.

Sunday was church at Lakeside Baptist with great worship and praise.
