We stand with the Capital Gazette

On Friday, June 29, 2018, the opinion page of the Annapolis (Maryland) Capital Gazette read, “This page is intentionally left blank today to commemorate victims of Thursday’s shooting at our office. Today we are speechless.”

The small community newspaper had just experienced the terror of having a shooter with a legally purchased 12-gauge pump-action shotgun comb its office, gunning down staff members. Five of its 31 colleagues were murdered in senseless violence.
