According to Scurry County Museum director Tessa Holladay, scientists from the Lubbock Lake Landmark, the Museum of Texas Tech, and the Scurry County Museum have returned to the Roland Spring Ranch archeological dig site in Scurry County first time in two years.

It’ll soon be Old Settlers rodeo time again in Dickens and Motley Counties—and scholarship recipients have been named to represent each of the counties this August. Each student will receive a $500 check upon presenting proof of college enrollment, according to OS board secretary Kevin Brendle.
