Anne Burnett Windfohr Marion, president of Burnett Ranches, LLC, which includes the Four Sixes Ranch in King County, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, in California, according to Cody Hartley, director of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which Marion founded with her husband. She was 81.

LUBBOCK COUNTY—Just days after being blanketed in snow, West Texas lake Alan Henry Reservoir, which is bounded by Garza and Kent Counties, produced the first Legacy Class largemouth bass entry of the 2020 Toyota ShareLunker season Feb. 9. Angler Blake Cockrell of Lubbock caught the 14.36 pound, 26.25 inch largemouth bass on a crankbait in 5 to 10 feet of water while targeting spotted bass on the lake.
BIG BUCK YOUTH WINNER Cody Simmons of Bedford, Texas, was the youngest hunter to bring in an animal to be scored in Star Feed & Seed’s 2019–20 Big Buck Contest. Star Feed has a donor who is dedicated to youth in hunting and donates a jacket each year to the youngest hunter to bring in an animal to be scored. Simmons won the Youngest Hunter monogrammed jacket this year. Two days shy of his 13th birthday in early December 2019, Simmons was 12 years old when he killed a 10-point buck that scored 133.625, in Kent County.
