As you drive into Spur the landmark that defines the city is a many-times-larger-than-life public sculpture of a silver spur that stands some 20 feet tall. But unless they step closer and examine the plaque, visitors might not know that John Grusendorf, the local owner of Grusendorf Welding and Supply, created and donated the spur to the city for its centennial celebration in October 2009.
This year’s show featured 61 exhibitors showing some 250 animals. The weather for both show days was mild and sunny, and the turnout for all events was considered excellent.
SPUR LITTLE LEAGUE signups are open now through February 26. All signups must be done online at www.spurlittleleague.com There will be NO paper forms circulated this year. Cost is $55 per player. Boys from ages 4-13 and girls from ages 4-14 are invited to sign up.
