The Officers of the Spur Police Department responded to 54 calls for service in the month of March 2023, as reported to Spur City Council April 18: Information—7 Theft—5 Traffic—8 Stand by—1 Open Door—1 Crash Report—1 Dispute—1 Damage— 1 Stolen Vehicle —1 Dog Bite—2 Escort—1 Shots Fired—1 Unwanted Guest—1 Suicidal Subject—1 Assault with Deadly Weapon—1 Agency Assist—3 Fire—1 Criminal Mischief—1 Noise Complaint— 1 Warrant Anest—1 Criminal Trespass —1 Prowler—1 Suspicious Activity—1 Welfare Check—2 Illegal Dumping—1 Domestic—1 Training—1 CPS—1 These calls led to two felony cases and two misdemeanor cases, and three other reports written by the officers of the Spur Police Department.
When gardening soil or area are in short supply, bypass soil by planting in straw bales. Straw is previously living stems of cereal crops, which can be purchased into compressed bales. Plants can be grown in directly into the bale or several can be grouped into a square frame with potting soil in the center.
It has been a very busy few weeks here at the library. For one thing I have been preparing to go to Austin for the Texas Library Association’s Annual Conference. I am hoping to gain knowledge that will help the library to better serve the community. The conference offers workshops and programming just for that purpose.
