It would be a disservice to romanticize my recent train trip, one that took me toVirginiaandthentoNorth Carolina and then back to Slidell, Louisiana. The Texas Tribune reported agencies such as the Texas Workforce Commission are using chatbots to serve patrons. In the TWC’s case, the chatbot was designed to help Texans sign up for unemployment benefits after the pandemic in March 2020 vastly increased the number of jobless claims.
( AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.06 billion in December, 3.2 percent more than in December 2022. The majority of December sales tax revenue is based on sales made in November and remitted to the agency in December.
In the regular monthly meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District Board of Trustees on December 5, superintendent Bryan White provided documentation concerning the process of hiring an interim superintendent and/or delegation to perform duties required of a superintendent. White had previously announced his retirement at year’s end in the November meeting.
