Dickens 4-H to hold Cleanup Day June 10

THANK YOU FOR READING THE TEXAS SPUR Dickens 4-H members have scheduled a Cleanup Day Sat., June 10, starting at 9 a.m. at the new Center building in Dickens. Goals are to undertake a “deep clean” of the new Center, according to organizer Ronda Dalton.

Settlemires June 10 benefit for Motley cemetery cancelled

Perkins, at the request of Joe Settlemires the June 10 concert and cemetery fundraiser has been cancelled. The cemetery associations will still be holding its Trent Willmon concert September 23, 2023; watch for details to follow.

Potato skins go well with Cheezy Sauce

You may recall the days when potato skins hit the restaurants and pubs. This crispy on the edges, cheesefilled delight has always been every bit as good as its nacho cousin. We typically see potato skins topped like a loaded baked potato.
