Sheridan to produce and direct Alamo battle film for new museum

AUSTIN— The new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum in San Antonio will house the most technologically advanced 4D Theater in the world—a state-of-the-art immersive experience designed to recreate the story of the Battle of the Alamo.

KCBDNewsChannel11’s Community Coverage Tour will visit Motley County on Tuesday, July 21. The popular week-long tour across the station’s viewership area, with hosts of the Lubbock television station’s evening news broadcast, will be in its 24th year.

Dickens 4-H earns honors in sheep show, meat judging

Dickens County 4-H had a very busy weekend. To start things off, Paisley and Steeley Smith traveled to Duncan, Oklahoma, for the Dorper Sheep National Show. The girls did very well. Paisley placed 1st with her early fall white dorper ewe, 5th with her early fall ram and 6th with her yearling ram.

SPUR ONE ACT PLAY AT

SPUR ONE ACT PLAY AT AREA Spur’s One Act Play season ended last week at Area competition in Sundown with their production of “Anatomy of Gray.” The last time a Spur One Act Play troupe had advanced to area was eight years ago. This year’s season marked a historic run.

Early voting to begin April 20

The ballots have been set for the May 2 city council and school board elections. There is one contested race in Dickens County and it was for a Spur ISD school board position.
