SIGNING DAY Jayton senior Sean Stanaland (center, with parents) who has earned statewide honors in track, football and basketball signed a letter of intent in track last week with Texas State University in San Marcos. The Bobcats currently compete in the NCAA Division I (FBS) as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. Those interested in running for city council or school board have just a few more hours to throw their hats in the ring. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at 5 p.m. is the deadline to file to run for a position for area city councils and school boards.
