Texas Spur Country towns set Trunk or Treat dates, plans

Like most small towns across West Texas, Texas Spur Country has moved Trunk or Treat dates due Friday night football on Friday, Oct. 31. JAYTON Jayton Church of Christ at 901 Clairemont will host their annual Trunk or Treat beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025.

Storyteller and broadcast personality Tumbleweed Smith to be inducted into radio Hall of Fame

Tumbleweed Smith, whose colorful commentary “The Sound of Texas” has been on the airwaves of the Lone Star State for more than 55 years, has been tapped for induction into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame on November 1, 2025. The ceremony will take place at the Broadcast Museum in Kilgore.
