As the Jayton Jaybirds found themselves in a hole early in their regional championship playoff game against the Balmorhea Bears, few expected to see what would eventually happen.
At the monthly meeting of the Jayton-Girard Independent School District on Monday, Nov. 6, trustees certified the results of the November 3 election, and new board member Jeff Arnold was sworn in by Kelsi Stanaland.
FOOD CHALLENGE Kent County 4-H Junior and Intermediate Food Challenge teams competed at the District 3 4-H Food Challenge Contest last week. The Intermediate team of Jeri Holcomb, Sidney Hall, Lainey Baldridge and Dayton Bleiker placed 4th in the Main Dish category. Junior Team was Carson Long, Camryn Arnold and Maquinna Branum.
