Jayton Jaybirds named to 2018 All-District Team

When the Division 1A Division 2 District 7 6-Man Football All-District Honors were announced the roster was packed with Jaybirds on both sides of the ball. Tye Scogin was named Offensive MVP and Tripp Scott was named Newcomer of the Year.

Jaybirds’ season ends at State Semifinal

The Jayton Jaybirds entered their State Semifinal game against the Follett Panthers with a clear understanding of their opponents. The Panthers were not out to surprise anybody with their game plan; Follett would do what they’ve done all season — rely on their running game.

Patton Springs Rangers named to 2018 All-District Team

Freshman Ashton Quilimaco was named Newcomer of the Year, as well as 2nd Team Offense as a spread center, and David Leyva was named to both the 2nd Team Offense as a spread back and 2nd Team Defense as a lineman, for District 2 1A All District honors for Patton Springs.

Spur Bulldogs named to 2018 All-District Team

When the Division 1A 6 Man All-District Honors were announced two Spur Bulldogs were recognized on both the offensive and defensive line-ups. Francisco Hernandez made first team offense as a running back and first team defense as a linebacker.
