Cupid has already drawn back his bow to offer an array of amore opportunities across the area for those celebrating their love, looking for love or pursuing a little self-care and socializing.
SPUR will have a Valentine’s Dance at the Show Barn in Swenson Park, featuring hot hors d’ouevre, karaoke, a silent auction and door prizes. The event is a fundraiser for the Spur Senior Center, and tickets are $25 per couple and $15 for individuals. Deadline for head count will be February 1, and tickets will be available at the door.
CROSBYTON will offer up the first of several “Galentine’s” events across the region this season. The boutique Stuffology, 102 E. Aspen St., invites area women to “Grab your favorite Gal Pals and celebrate Galentine’s Day with us” Saturday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned activities include a painting class from 1 to 3 p.m., a Valentine Gift Bar, Swag Bag Giveaways, a selfie station and snacks and drinks.
In SNYDER Sunday, Feb. 2, the Heritage Village, located at the Invenergy Coliseum on East Highway, is hosting Cupid’s Cookie Decorating and Crafts at the Village, an afternoon of Valentine fun from 2 to 4 p.m.
This event is open to all children and their adults, hosted by Historic Scurry County Inc. and Carroll’s Cute Cookies. Attendees will decorate Valentine cookies with guidance from one of Snyder’s best cookie decorators and will also craft vintage-style Valentines to share with loved ones. MATADOR Resq’d Junkery, a vintage furniture store and coffee shop at 1123 Main St., is having their Galentine’s celebration Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature massages, store specials and special drinks.
POST The Hotel Garza in downtown Post is offering a fun Valentine’s Day weekend event, “Death by Chocolate,” a 1920s murder mystery dinner theater experience. They will be hosting for their guests, a fun-filled evening of “Who Dun It” Friday, Feb. 14. The hotel package includes the Murder Mystery Game, a Champagne reception, formal dinner, a homecooked breakfast and accommodations in one of their uniquely designed rooms or suites, plus games and quizzes and a top prize for a super sleuth.
