The Friends of the Library is having a book sale at the library! We have had quite a few donations recently and need to clear some space.
Paperback books in the sale are free! Yes, you read correctly. Paperback books are free. Fill up a bag or two with paperback books by your favorite authors or genres. We have all the popular bestselling authors such as John Grisham, James Patterson, Debbie Macomber, Beverly Lewis and many more.
We also have many of your favorite authors in hardcover in the sale. For a donation to the Friends of the Library, you can get hardcover books by Daniel Silva, William W. and J.A. Johnstone, Danielle Steel and others. We also have many nonfiction books available in the sale. There are cookbooks, inspirational books, self-help books, and much more. Come by the library during our business hours of Monday through Thursday from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. to browse through our collection.
We will be having a Valentine’s craft time on Tuesday February 11, 2025 from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. The crafts are in the planning stage right now, but since it is a Valentine’s craft time you can be sure hearts will be involved. There will probably be hot glue involved, so all minors must be accompanied with an adult.
We recently acquired a few new large print books thanks to the South Plains Electric Operation Round Up Community Grant. In western fiction large print we have “Ralph Compton: Stagecoach Revenge” by D.B. Pulliam.
Inspirational fiction is a popular genre here at the library and we have added a few new books in the genre in large print. From bestselling author Amy Clipson we have the first installment of her sweet inspirational romance series, Amish Legacy. In “Foundation of Love” Crystal Glick is grateful to live with her brother’s family since her father died and her fiancé, Owen, broke their engagement. Crystal loves her bruderskinner and cheerfully helps her sister-in-law through a difficult pregnancy with babies number seven and eight, but she yearns for a husband and children of her own. We also have the second in the Amish Legacy series, “Building a Future.”
From inspirational bestselling author Beth Wiseman we have “The Story of Love” and “The Bookseller’s Promise.”
Check it out at the library.
