We have rescheduled our Minute to Win It game night for Thursday, January 27 at 5:30. Be sure and tell all of your friends. Game night is for everyone—men, women, boys and girls—anyone who loves playing games.
Something exciting is coming to the library very soon! Thanks to the Tocker Foundation we will be getting several Wi-Fi hotspots for our patrons to check out. You must have a valid library card with no outstanding fines, among other conditions, to be eligible to check out one of the hotspots. They are easy to use and can connect up to eight devices, such as your smart phone, laptop, and tablet to cellular Internet. Be sure to follow us on Facebook. We will keep everyone posted on Facebook as to when they will be ready for checkout.
Rural libraries in the state of Texas are very fortunate to have a foundation like Tocker that cares about us. Their generosity keeps our shelves filled with the latest bestselling books, audio books and DVDs. The Tocker Foundation helps small rural libraries stay current and relevant with their support.
Speaking of the Tocker Foundation, here are a few more of the books we have recently received thanks to them. In large print fiction we have “The Horsewoman” by James Patterson and Mike Lupica, and “The Paris Detective” by James Patterson and Richard Dilallo.
In the children’s section we have “Fergus and Zeke and the 100th Day of School” by Kate Messner and “My Words Flew Away Like Birds” by Debora Pearson.
In graphic novels we have “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot” by Jeff Kenney, “Marshmallow and Jordan” by Alina Chau, and “The Creepy Files of Margo Maloo: the Creepy Web” by Drew Weing.
Finally, in junior fiction we have “Susie B. Won’t Back Down” by Margaret Finnegan.
Check it all out at the library.
