10th Annual Adult Softball Tourney was ‘Smokin’ Hot’

The 10th Annual Adult Softball Tournament was smoking hot this year (literally).

But neither the high temps nor the water slide malfunction could stop a community determined to have some fun.

Star Feed and Seed jumped to rescue by loaning out four water troughs for the kids to swim, and Bahama Junks got busy shaving ice for the snow cones.

The concession kept the sweet tea flowing, and the teams took the field.

The 2022 champions were Eli Guerrero’s “Cheese Weasels” from Crosbyton, who defeated the Holy Sox 10–7 in the championship game Saturday night.

The First Baptist Church of Spur would like to thank everyone who braved the heat to come play, watch and eat. We’d like to extend a special thanks to Zoe Robertson of Star Feed and Seed for loaning the water troughs to keep the kids wet and happy. What a fun weekend.
