JAYTON – JULY 1
Fireworks will be available for viewing in Jayton via the parking lot of the Kent County Nursing Home on Highway 70 north of town, at 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 1.
To protect residents, all guests are asked to view the fireworks from outside of the gates of the nursing home. Only staff and residents will be inside the gates.
The Kent County Nursing Home welcomes donations for financial assistance with the fireworks, and snow cones will be available for purchase.
(For those wondering about Jayton’s traditional July 4 celebration on the courthouse square, the Kent County Lions Club reported June 28 that they would instead organize a special event for early fall this year.)
