Bulldogs' season comes to an end

Friday, November 3, the Spur Bulldogs faced the Knox City Greyhounds in Knox City for the final district game. The Bulldogs fell to the Greyhounds, 26-62.

The Bulldogs faced the #1-ranked Greyhounds with high energy and nerves. Once the game was in play the Bulldogs played with heart and played hard the whole game. Throughout the season, the team has played together and pushed through the entire game no matter the opponent.

Ace Walker led the touchdown count for the Bulldogs,, scoring three times. The Bulldogs’ offense fought hard through the Greyhounds’ tough defense, scoring 26 points. Margarito Pesina led the defensive tackles, with the team trailing the count. Never giving up, the Bulldogs played to the end of the second quarter.

Head Coach Tate Clark said, “We started off sluggish, but finally got some things figured out and had some success. We had too many early mistakes that put the game out of reach. This group of kids battled and improved every week. I am proud of them.”
