Daylight Saving Time is now upon us, which means later sunsets and warmer weather! It is time to get those golf clubs and carts dusted off, clean up, shined up and ready for playing some great rounds of golf.
The Spur Golf Association Board held its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 and a lot of good things are in the works for our course.
The 2022 Tournament schedule is now set for the year. These tournaments all have different formats, so get your teams together and get ready to have some fun. To enter the tournaments, please contact Landon White at (806) 422-0090 or Tyler Luke at (806) 269-1606.
May 21 & 22 — 2-person scramble
$200 per team
Meal provided and Calcutta 100% payout
June 4 — Junior Class 4-person scramble
$160 per team
Breakfast and lunch provided
June 25 & 26 — Golfing with Nana/Debbie Daughtry Scholarship Memorial 3-person scramble
$450 per team
Meal provided and Calcutta 50% payout
July 30 — Fat Daddy’s 3-man scramble
$150 per team
August 27 & 28 — 2 Jacks & a Jill
$240 per team
Meal provided and Calcutta
September 24 — 4-person scramble
$200 per team
October 15 — Club Championship
The Association will be raffling off a 2022 Onward Club Car golf cart. The drawing for the cart will be held Saturday, September 24, following the 4-person scramble. Tickets will be $100 each. You will be able to purchase your ticket from any SGA board member and association members in the very near future.
The Tuesday weekly 9-hole scrambles will start on April 5, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. We ask that everyone be there as close to 5:00 p.m. as possible to get the teams formed and to be able to get started on time. The scrambles are $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers.
We are taking applications for memberships. There is a $50 initial membership fee for new members.
Current membership rates are as follows:
• $30 per month for a single membership
• $50 per month for a family membership
• $10 per month for cart shed rental
