In our coverage of Spur City Council’s December 21, 2021 meeting in the January 6, 2022 edition, we misstated one of the boundaries of the planned Family Dollar/Dollar Tree store in Spur. The store plans to occupy the city block bounded by 1st St., Carroll Ave., Willard Ave. and Hill St. We regret the error.
Apparently, that wasn’t the only oversight in our proofreading that week. Our banner carried the date of January 6, 2021, and the error persisted right through the issue of January 13. We have ensured that information is corrected in our digital archives—along with the incorrect header in the county political candidates’ listing.
