Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has named Jayton’s Tye Scogin as one of the “40 Players You Need to Know in 2019.”
About No. 32, running back/ linebacker Scogin and his team the Jayton Jaybirds, the magazine says: “Big things are expected of the Jaybirds in 2019, and Scogin is a big reason why.
The senior ran for 2,003 yards and 40 touchdowns while also notching 123 tackles for the state semifinalists last year.
Scogin does a little bit of everything — including knocking down a buzzer-beating shot in the state basketball semifinals.”
