In the regular monthly meeting of the Dickens County Commissioners December 13, 2021, the court approved a tax batement for Broad Reach Power regarding its 200MW energy storage facility. The motion passed 4-1 with Dennis Wyatt voting against.
In other action, the court voted unanimously to approve the renewal of the Texas County and District Retirement System.
Darla Thomason gave the court a presentation on contracted services through the South Plains Association of Governments for the American Rescue Plan Act. The court voted unanimously to advertise for bids for contracted services.
In other matters, the court voted unanimously to approve the retirement/resignation of District and County Clerk Becky Hill effective December 31, 2021. Commissioners then approved the County and District Clerk’s office advertising for the deputy clerk position.
The court approved meeting dates for the calendar year 2022.
