In the regular monthly meeting of the Dickens County Commissioners on Monday, Sept. 12 the court unanimously adopted the tax rate of 0.83910.
In other court action, commissioners approved the sheriff’s fees for 2023, and discussed the planning process for utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
The court approved the upgrade to new managed endpoint security and software protection by CTSI.
Commissioners gave consent to treasurer Darla Thomason to send Notice of Indebtedness to county employees to reconcile expenses on county credit cards. The court voted unanimously to approve the purchase of six new tires for the Precinct 1 motor grader and approved a bid for a motor grader from Warren CAT for Precinct 1. The court also approved purchasing an equipment trailer, contingent that it meets their inspection. The commissioners also discussed repairs needed to the Highway Patrol/Probation Officer’s building. Due to the Columbus Day holiday, the next regular monthly commissioners court meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9 a.m.
