The seeding is set.
Guthrie, Spur and Motley County are number one, two and three seeds respectively in girls’ basketball. District winner Guthrie (9-1) will play their first playoff game this Friday night versus the winner of the 15-1A third seed, Motley County (6-5), and 16-1A two seed, Benjamin which played on Tuesday night in Crowell.
Friday night’s appearance marks the first time in seven years that the Guthrie Lady Jaguars have been in a playoff game. At press time of Tuesday afternoon, the location and opponent were yet to be determined.
The Spur Spurettes (7-4) won the second seed by defeating the Motley County’s Lady Matadors 47-39 last Friday night in Patton Springs.
The Spurettes then played in the 1A Region 2 Bi-District Championship Spur versus Vernon Northside (7-3) in Stamford Tuesday evening.
