A Family Dollar/Dollar Tree store that’s been in the works in Spur for a bout a year is planning a tentative soft opening Thursday, Sept. 29 and an official grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 15, according to local store manager Marilynn Marshall.
Marshall, a White River Lake resident, said she had previously managed Family Dollar stores in Crosbyton, Matador and Paducah and said she may be familiar to those who have shopped those locations. She noted that there will be special giveaways for the October 15 grand opening, including gift cards and perks from vendors. The Family Dollar/Dollar Tree is always taking applications, Marshall said.
At this point, the exact hours of the store have not been determined, although it will be open seven days a week.
Marshall encouraged locals to come shop. “It’s a Family Dollar and Dollar Tree combined into one, where you can find anything.”
