Fire destroyed one of the outbuildings—the music building—at Patton Springs School late Tuesday evening/early Wednesday morning.
The fire was first noticed Tuesday afternoon in the music building before school let out. Most of what was in the building was removed before it became unsafe to go in. 9-1-1 was called and local volunteer fire departments responded and put the fire out. No students or staff were injured.
Wednesday morning, sometime before 5:00 a.m., the fire restarted, local VFDs were contacted again, and the building completely burned down.
A fund has been created to assist Patton Springs ISD in rebuilding their music building.
