Lake Alan Henry
Water clear main lake and 84 degrees; lightly stained up the river and 84 degrees; 2.95' low. Black bass are good to excellent on small Bone Whopper Ploppers and Torpedoes. Crappie are slow at night on minnows. Catfish are slow on baited jug lines.
Lake Colorado City
Water stained; 78–84 degrees; 12.39' low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
Lake Stamford
Water stained to murky; 76–85 degrees; 0.36' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair on split rigged live minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and live shad. Blue catfish are fair on cut and live bait.
Lake Sweetwater
Water stained; 75–84 degrees; 0.28' low. This lake is currently experiencing a fish kill due to golden alga. Biologists are monitoring the situation and will post updates as they become available. Fish populations have been substantially reduced by the golden alga blooms.
White River Lake
Water stained; 77–86 degrees; 20.89' low. Black bass are fair on shakyheads, Texas rigs and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are fair on split shot rigged live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.
To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters.
