Lake Colorado City
Water stained; 78–85 degrees; 12.66' low. Largemouth bass are slow on Texas rigs and hard tackle. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
Lake Stamford
Water stained to murky; 79–85 degrees; 0.69' low. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigs and spinner baits. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on live shad. Blue catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait pellets.
Lake Sweetwater
Water stained; 77–85 degrees; 0.28' low. Fish populations are recovering from golden alga blooms.
White River Lake
Water stained; 77–86 degrees; 21.10' low. Largemouth bass are fair on shakyheads, Texas rigs and squarebill crank-baits. Crappie are fair on split shot rigged live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.
To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters.
