REMINDER All are invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for Dickens County’s newest industry, the Burksol Battery Energy Storage System project by esVolta, on Thursday, Jan. 11.
The event, at 931 County Road 112, Afton, TX 79243, begins at 11 a.m. and includes remarks from esVolta, Saber Power and the Spur Area Chamber of Commerce, followed by a barbecue lunch provided by TC Ponderosa in Dickens.
“esVolta is excited to begin construction of a new Battery Energy Storage System project and become part of the Dickens County community,” said Edward Simon, Project Manager EPC, esVolta. esVolta’s Burksol project is a 100 megawatt / 200 megawatthour battery energy storage system serving Dickens County. The utility company is WETT (Wind Energy Transmission Texas), the general EPC contractor is Saber Power Services, LLC and the PCS & battery storage equipment suppliers are Sungrow and Fractal.
“On behalf of the citizens of Dickens County, the Spur Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes esVolta and Saber Power to our community,” said Matthew McArthur, president of the Spur Area Chamber of Commerce.
