The Guthrie Jaguars surprised the Spur Bulldogs 59–46 Friday night, dropping the Bulldogs out of the seeding—for now—for basketball playoffs.
As of press time, the three teams poised for the playoffs by being #1, #2 and #3 in District 5-1A standings are Jayton, Guthrie and Paducah.
The Paducah Dragons stayed in the playoff picture by defeating Motley County 65–23 Friday night.
Jayton, ranked #8 in the state basketball polls, travels to Spur Friday night.
