On June 30, the Dickens County commissioners court held a special meeting to fill the unexpired term of Justice of the Peace. Retiring after seven years in office as JP and nine years as deputy tax assessor/collector is the Honorable Nancy Stone (left). Appointed to finish the term is Patti Hagar (center, taking the oath of office administered by county judge Kevin Brendle).
