Around the region, folks looking to clean their closets and make a little cash have been gearing up for the annual Highway 70 Garage Sale. The 2023 event is slated for Saturday, May 6, featuring stops along the Texas 70 route from Jayton to Turkey.
To sign up to get on the list of sales please contact Joan Day at (806) 269-3141 if you will be having a sale south of US 82 or Shane Jones at (940) 475-0226 if you will be having a sale north of US 82, and they will get your name and address added to the list.
There is no fee for vendors to be listed in the event flyer, which will be distributed the week before the event in all participating communities.
Customers of Spur Storage Units in Spur and Dickens are welcome to use on-site space to set up a sale. Call The Texas Spur at (806) 271-3381 if you have any questions.
According to Joan Day of the Back Door Inn in Spur, sellers have already begun to sign up, there is room for plenty more.
