Do you know the A, B,
C & D’s of Medicare? Consultant Requel Roos is inviting any interested persons in the area to attend a free Medicare educational meeting conducted by a benefit advisor specializing in Medicare. The meeting is scheduled for Tues., June 20, at 1 p.m. at the Jayton Community Center, 156 4th St.
Participants can expect to better understand options as they become eligible for their Medicare benefits or desire to make changes to their current coverage, according to Roos, who plans to cover the following information from the official Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services handbooks:
• Defining Medicare and its parts
• How and when to enroll in Medicare, as well as what happens if you are already on Medicare and Turning 65
• When you are allowed to change plans (Annual Enrollment and Special Enrollment Periods)
• Medicare Health Plan Coverage Choices (Medicare Supplement & Medicare Advantage Plans)
• Prescription Drug Plans
• Do I qualify for extra help with my premiums? How do I apply?
• What if I plan to keep working? What if my spouse isn’t on Medicare?
“These are just some of the topics I will cover and I will give you simple, straightforward answers to your questions,” said Roos. “The meeting lasts a-proximately 1 hour and will include some Q&A as well.”
“Invite anyone you’d like who may benefit from this seminar,” said Roos. Alternatively, those unable to attend or who want to schedule a free appointment may call Requel Roos at (682) 800-7947.
