There was lots of activity at the course last week with having the July 4th 18-hole Scramble and the regular Tuesday evening scramble.
JULY 4TH 18-Hole SCRAMBLE RESULTS It was a HOT one for the July 4th 18-Hole scramble but we ended up with enough players to form five teams and pay three places!
The team of Tyler Luke, Aubrey Luke, Ralph Frausto and Tate Clark came back to the clubhouse sporting a score of 7 under par and a score of 65 to claim first place.
The team of Mike and Janie Day and James and Kathy Hughes had a score of 68 and 4 under par to take home the second place winnings.
The team of Andy Daughtry, Landon White, Greg Arnold and Neil Grant rolled into the clubhouse with their score of 3 under par and score of 69 to take home third place.
Janie Day got to take home the No. 8 closest-to-the-pin money for the day, with her drive landing 23 feet 1 inch from the hole.
TUESDAY, JULY 5 SCRAMBLE RESULTS It was a smidge on the warm side for Golf Scramble Tuesday with the temperature being over 100 degrees. Five teams were formed and three places were paid out.
Coming in HOT with 7 under par and a score of 29 was the team of Jimmy Ashley, Lewis Sessums, Jerry Reynolds and Dewayne Sexton to take home first place money for the week.
Taking home second place was the team of Russell Conrad, Dana Conrad, Ralph Frausto and Donald Kaneski with 6 under par and a score of 30.
Getting to take home the third place winnings for the week was the team of Floyd Starkey, Sue Starkey, Kayla Bateman, Andrew Bateman and Daniel Perez with 5 under par and a score of 31.
Cheers to Justin Posey, who planted his drive 28 feet from the hole on No. 1.
A shout-out also goes to Donald Kaneski, who took home the No. 8 closest-to-the-pin money. He landed his drive 12 feet 6 inches from the hole.
The regular monthly meeting of the Spur Golf Association Board will be held on Wednesday, July 13th beginning at 6 p.m. All members are invited to attend. Until next week – God bless and keep praying for rain!
