As spring has arrived, the theft of items left unsecured is on the rise. We at the Spur Police Department wouldliketotakeamomentandprovideyouwithsome tips to safeguard your property.
#1. Secure your property with locks when possible.
#2. Take photographs of your property.
#3. Record the serial number and model number as well as manufacturer of your property.
#4. Install security cameras.
#5. Report suspicious behavior, with a complete as possible description of the person involved. For nonemergency reporting, call the Spur Police Department at (806) 271-4582.
We are a small department and cannot be everywhere all of the time; with that being said, we want you to know that we greatly appreciate your assistance in keeping Spur a safe and happy place to live.
