On Tuesday June 21 at 10 am Briana Sturgis will bring a program from Argo Blockchain for the children. We will be reading “Cutting-Edge Blockchain and Bitcoin” by Kevin Kurtz. As with all of our programs, all ages are welcome.
On June 28 at 10 a.m. the program “Your Newspaper and How It’s Made” will be presented by Kay Ellington, publisher, and Barbara Brannon, editor and assistant publisher of the Texas Spur newspaper. The book we will be reading will be “The Furry News: How to Make a Newspaper,” written and illustrated by Loreen Leedy.
Set your reminders, because you won’t want to miss a single program.
New books at the library include “Cari Mora” by Thomas Harris, author of “Silence of the Lambs.” Monsters lurk in the crevices between male desire and female survival. No other writer in the last century has conjured those monsters with more terrifying brilliance than Thomas Harris.
Fifty years after ‘The Andromeda Strain,” Michael Crichton returns with a gripping sequel that is terrifyingly realistic and resonant with “The Andromeda Evolution.”
Family secrets come to haunt Jack Reacher in the electrifying thriller “Past Tense.” As Reacher explores his father’s life strands of different stories begin to merge. Then Reacher makes a shocking discovery: the present can be tough, but the past can be tense and deadly.
From bestselling author Louise Penny we have “A Better Man,” a mix of meteorological suspense, psychological insight and criminal pursuit.
On the lighter side we have Dorothea Benton Frank’s “Queen Bee” and from Jodi Thomas “Sunday at the Sunflower Inn.”
Check it all out at the library.
