Summer officially began June 21. It seems like the heat got turned on early this year! Hopefully August will feel like May since May felt like August.
It’s cool at the library, so you should come see us. While here you can see what new books we’ve got lately. I went to Abilene to attend my grandson’s graduation. While there I managed to get in a little shopping. I came across a book that most definitely belongs in our library: “The SMS Ranch” by Dawn Youngblood, Ph.D., and the foreword written by our own Eric Swenson Jr., in Arcadia’s “Images of America” pictorial history series.
Our readers will definitely enjoy reading about and seeing photos on local history.
Also new to our library shelves is “Tom Clancy’s Zero Hour” by Don Bentley, a Jack Ryan Jr. novel. According to Publishers Weekly, Bentley proves himself a worthy successor to Tom Clancy.
