DONNICE CARRUTH | SPECIAL TO THE TEXAS SPUR
We will be having Rick and C.J. Boales here at the library for a photographers’ workshop on Monday, Dec. 5 at 5:30 pm. (Last week I put the date as the 6th but that was incorrect.) This will be a great chance for those of us that love to take photos but have so many questions about camera settings, lighting, and other things to have those questions answered by a professional. We would love to have more programs like this at the library. If you have a skill and would like to share your knowledge with others, please contact me at (806) 271-3714.
On Thursday, Dec. 8 we will be having a Christmas craft evening. Please follow us on social media to keep up with all the things going on here at the library.
We have had more donations of books here at the library. We would like to thank you all for your donations. Some of the most recent books we have added to our collection are bestselling author Rick Riordan’s thriller, “Cold Springs,” a spellbinding novel of a man on an edge so extreme that his fall will destroy not only him but all that he holds dear. “Southtown” is another thriller from Riordan we have added thanks to the donated books.
If legal thrillers are more to your taste you might like “High Crimes” by Joseph Finder, “Above the Law” by J. F. Freedman, or “Pleading Guilty” by Scott Turow. We have received a few psychological thrillers such as “Sacrificial Ground” by Thomas Cook.
December is here, and so are some great Christmas reads in large print. From bestselling author Donna Andrews we have two from her Meg Langslow mysteries, “The Twelve Jays of Christmas” and “Dashing Through the Snowbirds.” For a Christmas read in the old west we have “Christmas in Death Valley” by William W. and J. A. Johnstone.
Check it all out at the library.
