Colleen Hoover is one of the most popular authors in the U.S. Her contemporary romance and psychological thriller books are geared mainly toward female audiences. Hoover, from Sulphur Springs, Texas, began self-publishing her books in 2012. According to Wikipedia she had sold approximately 20 million books as of October of 2022. She was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2023.
Her 2016 novel, “It Ends With Us,” has been made into a movie starring Blake Lively and is set to premiere next month. We have added a few of her books to our shelves over the last few months. Some were donated by patrons. With funds from our grant from the Tocker Foundation we added a few more recently. “It Ends With Us” is among those we have recently added. We also have “Never Never,” in which Hoover joins forces with New York Times bestselling author Tarryn Fisher. Together, they have created a gripping, twisty, romantic mystery unlike any other. “Confess,” a novel about risking everything for love—and finding your heart somewhere between the truth and lies, and “Ugly Love,” a heart-wrenching love story.
Also added to the new releases we have Heather Graham’s paranormal mystery romance, “Sound of Darkness.” Women are being taken in Virginia, and FBI agent Mark Gallagher is determined to put a stop to it. Certain he’s closing in on the killer known as The Embracer, Mark is less than thrilled when he’s partnered with rookie agent Colleen Law, worried she’s a liability when there’s so much at stake. We also have “Out of Nowhere” from #1 New York Times bestselling author Sandra Brown; an emotional thriller where the lives of a young mother and a high-rolling consultant collide under devastating circumstances—culminating in a desperate manhunt that will change their futures forever.
