Following a recent rash of crimes in Spur, the Dickens County sheriff’s office last Thursday arrested and jailed John D. Smith of Spur on charges of criminal trespass, possession of stolen property, theft.
Sheriff Terry Braly said that another arrest was made April 26. Joe Maldonado was arrested in Spur on a parole violation.
The two men remain in the Dickens County jail.
A female inmate from Kent County is also being held in Dickens at present, Braly said. The Dickens County facility regularly houses detainees from Kent, King and Motley Counties, which lack their own facilities.
