CHILDRESS –Louis Mc-Dow III, P.E., was recently named Childress Area Engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation by Childress District Engineer Darwin Lankford, P.E.
McDow, a 2008 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, began his TxDOT career in the Ellis County Area Engineer’s office in the Dallas District. In July of 2017, he accepted the Ellis County Area Office Design Manager position gaining experience in plan development including pavement designs, hydrology/ hydraulics, traffic control plans and bridge layouts.
He also prepared plans for off-system bridges and preventative maintenance projects in both Ellis and Navarro counties.
In February 2020, Mc-Dow assumed duties as the Athens Assistant Area Engineer, taking an active role in managing the office, inspections, reviewing plans and contractor schedules on various projects.
McDow and his wife, Denise, are looking forward to being active in the local church and Childress community.
