Mortenson Construction, the Minnesota-based firm currently engaged in work at the Texas Solar Nova energy projects in northwestern Kent County, held a job fair at the Spur Community Center Tuesday, Sept. 20.
While the project is based out of Jayton, in Kent County, many workers on the job right now are housed in Spur, Dickens County, and surrounding areas. Job seekers on the Mortenson websiteatwww.mortenson. com/careers will find eight positions listed at present in the firm’s Civil Group and Solar Group, including Field Engineer, Pile Driver I, Solar Laborer Foreman, Civil Craft Operator (TSN), Solar Water Truck Driver, Solar Operator II, and Civil Craft Operator (TSN).
