The Rangers opened the season facing off against the Wilson Mustangs this past Thursday night. With both teams anticipating a great season, the expectations were high.
Wilson would strike first early in the 1st quarter, scoring on their first possession with a 10-yard run, and then again just two drives later with a 35-yard conversion.
The Rangers were feeling the pressure. They would come back in the 2nd quarter to score with a 15-yard conversion to David Reyna, keeping the Rangers hopes alive.
But Wilson was not done, they would go on to score three times in the 3rd quarter, leaving the Rangers behind. The Rangers would try once more to rally, as they scored again at the closing of the third.
But this would be the Rangers last, as Wilson closed them out In the fourth, leaving with a victory of 58-12 over the Rangers.
