New books, new readers at the Spur library

If you missed our special craft day, you missed a great time. We offered crafts from previous craft nights that we still had materials for, and it was a big hit. We had some crafters stay the whole time and were able to do two or three of the crafts. There were diamond painting, rock painting, book folding, and other book crafts. We will try to do it again soon.

We only have our leased books through the month of December, so if you haven’t checked any of them out you had better hurry down and take a look at what we have. I previously mentioned a few of the titles and authors, but here are a few more we will have for a few more weeks: “The Red Book” by James Patterson and David Ellis, “Daddy’s Gone” by Mary Higgins Clark, “Indulgence in Death” by J.D. Robb, “Vortex” by Catherine Coulter, “the Flimflam Affair” by Bill Pronzini, “Find Me In Havana” by Serena Burdick, “Dancing in the Dark” by Mary Jane Clark, “When We Were Young” by Karen Kingsbury, “The Teton Bunch” by Les Savage, “Texas Warrior” by James Kane, “Wildfire” by Ralph Cotton and “Rouge Gunslinger” by B.J. Daniels.

New to our shelves this past week we have from New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews with a novella celebrating the magic of Christmas and second chances in “The Santa Suit.” From another New York Times bestselling author, Joy Fielding, we have the riveting psychological thriller “Cul-De-Sac.” Also from Joy Fielding we have the suspenseful murder mystery “Charley’s Web.”

Stuart Woods’ protagonist Stone Barrington faces down a persistent rival in “Foul Play,” and for readers of western romance we have two by Debra Clopton, “Counting on a Cowboy” and “Kissed by a Cowboy.”
