New large-print books at the Spur library

The next shipment of large print books have arrived from the large-print circuit the library is participating in. We will have these books for three months and then ship them to the next library. This gives our patrons a chance to experience authors we normally wouldn’t have available at our library. The large-print circuit will send books by renowned authors as well as lesser-known but great authors just the same.

The large print books come in all genres, from romance to suspense to Western fiction. There have been a few nonfiction titles as well.

In this shipment that will be available until March 2022 we have received quite a few Western fiction:

“Murder at Thumb Butte” by James D. Best

“The Man From Misery” by David C. Noonan

“The Cavalier of Rabbit Butte” by Robert J. Horton

“Train’s Trust” by Max Brand

“The Long Night of Winchell Dear” by Robert James Waller’

“Gunsmoke: Dodge the Devil” by Joseph A. West

“The Backstabbers” by William W. Johnstone

“The Man Who Hated Hickok” by C. M. Wendelboe

“War Cry” by Charles G. West

Here is a list of some of the new books we have received that are not part of the circuit. They are large print books purchased by the library with funds received through the Tocker Foundation grant earlier this year.
