STAFF REPORTS
The annual Most Endangered Places (MEP) List is a signature program of Preservation Texas. Since 2004, the MEP List has spotlighted imperiled historic places across Texas that are threatened by neglect, demolition, inappropriate alteration, or a radical loss of context. The 2022 MEP List will be announced at an event in Jefferson in November. Sites listed in 2021 will also be invited to the announcement, as no public program was scheduled last year because of the pandemic.
Submit your nomination online through our Submittable. com portal, which can be accessed at The MEP List is designed to draw statewide attention to Endangered Places so that local advocates can build momentum toward their protection. Preservation Texas can also provide technical assistance and letters of support for sites that have been included on the MEP List. We welcome a geographically, culturally, and architecturally diverse range of submissions. Nominations for the 2022 MEP List are due by Friday, October 7, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. CST.
