Texas Farm Bureau last week announced the organization’s 2023 scholarship recipients, awarding $254,500 to graduating high school seniors and enrolled college students this spring.
From Texas District 2, Melania Ramirez of Patton Springs High School was among the winners.
“I have always had an interest in studying accounting and marketing,” she said in her application materials. “I hope to eventually run my family's farm. I also hope to own an accounting firm to help farmers and ranchers prosper.”
